This seems to be a real challenge!

I am Unable to refresh or reset Windows 8 after Automatic Repair fails. One error says out space but it is not. another error says hard drive is write protected. I have scanned the drive and removed 10 virus and performed CHKDSK.

Any help provided would be much appreciated.

I'm going to guess that your system isn't clean yet.

I'm also going to suggest to a moderator that this thread be moved into the forum where you can get the expert assistance you need

Keep us posted

This seems to be a common problem in my research.  I thought that this might be a virus but since I cannot get into the machine I could only scan from another computer. Any help is appreciated!

You cannot get into the machine???
Does it boot to the desktop?

You can run tools on it from another Machine?

What have you run?

Thanks for your reply.

I only ran avast boot time scan and malwarebytes from another computer.  But I still cannot boot into the hard drive or do a refresh on original laptop. Not sure how to proceed? Any suggestions?
