My Windows 7 64-bit computer has been freezing a lot lately.  I thought i had the problem fixed, it didn't freeze for 2 1/2 days then last night it froze 5 times.  No error messages or BSOD, it just stops responding to anything requiring me to turn it off and on manually.  Last night, when it froze last, the only programs open were Firefox and Outlook 2010.  Here is what i've tried:

replaced hard drive (cloned the old one using Acronis True Image)

ran memtest overnight - 3 passes - no errors

updated all drivers using driverupdate

gone into msconfig and disabled all optional startup programs

Event viewer - System - shows many of the same error at the same time the computer freezes each time, but an IT guy i know says that's not the cause.  At any rate, here's the error:

The following fatal alert was generated: 10.  The internal error state is 10

Source: Schannel

Event ID 36888

Anyone have any ideas?  This is very frustrating.
