Hello, I have had a NV56R06u Gateway for about three years now, and only this week it started making weird noises when it's turned on or off. Apparently it's the fan that is making this rattling noise, but I am not sure about it. Sometimes when moving the laptop it's possible to hear the same rattling, and when I open/close the lid I can hear something moving at times.

Find a reputable service center and have them open it up and reseat the heatpipe and fan assembly.
