Disallow things for a default user

Hi,

 

Is there a way that users without administrator access can't do the following;

  • Disable the Control Panel
  • No downloading and installing software
  • Block folders and files

The administrator account will be password protected.

Yeah, I assume your PC isn't on a domain: that is fine. Use local GPO's.

There is other documentation out there that goes into more detail. It's fun to play around with just be careful. I ended up screwing up an entire company and fixed it by removing that GPO. Oops!
