I apologize for any typos I might make, im currently accessing the site from mobile.

Today i turned on my laptop and was greeted by a black screen, nothing more. I forced shut down and tried again, thinking my computer was frozen, and it happened again.
Please tell me this is something that hasn't destroyed my files :(

Thank you!

EDIT: Something I figure I should mention, i dont know if this is related.
Last night when I was turning my laptop off, I noticed my Weather and Avast desktop widgets were missing. Sometimes I accidentally close them so I went to go re-add them but Widgets wouldn't open up from the right-click desktop menu.
i just decided it was acting weird and turned off my laptop

EDIT 2: The screen lights up but its black. What i mean by this is that its not the same shade of black that it is when the laptop is turned off.

EDIT 3: I tried again and it successfully turned on... no idea why. Would still like help
