Note*** I just bought this computer with Windows 8 and haven't had time to figure out this OS yet. This is the second day I've used this PC. My internet connection is spotty.

After starting up my PC this morning, I tried to sign in with my usual password. It didn't work. It didn't work again. I got a message that my computer is offline, use the last password I used on the computer. My Microsoft account?

It wasn't until I finally had an internet connection that I was finally able to sign in to my PC with my Microsoft account password.

I have no idea what this is about.

I need to always be able to sign in with my password for my COMPUTER. How do I change this?

Whether you think you can or can't, either way you are right.

I figured it out.

Apparently, when I used my Microsoft acount to download an app from the Microsoft store, the settings on my PC changed. I could no longer use my local password to sign in to my PC. So I changed it back.

You have to disconnect from your Microsoft account in order to do this.

1-Go to your account in the control panel.

2-Make changes to my account in PC settings

3-Disconnect from Microsoft account

After doing this, you can sign in to your PC with a local password.

See you've followed your Henry Ford quote, lol.

Now you just need to update your profile to reflect the "new baby".

Keep on smilin'.
