Whenever I try to goto safemode I get to the log in screen and when I goto put my mouse over one of the names to log in, it automatically reboots itself. I don't even know what other information I should supply for this problem.

Are you sure you're in safe mode?

To logon in safe mode you must press the F8 key during the very brief period between the end of the POST and before Windows begins loading. Then select the safe mode option on the following menu.

Why are you trying to ge into the safe mode, is there a problem that you're trying to solve?

It would also help to know what kind of computer that you are using, Dell, Compaq, etc., and what model it is.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

I had this problem once, it turned out it was my version of Nero InCD packet writing software. XP would boot fine into normal mode but safe mode was gone. More details here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/lof...53354.htmll

No I have no idea because I have not needed to use it for ages. I find this extremely weird and I have no idea where to start.
