I want to build a Bitcoin mining rig.  To do this, without modification to my desktop computer I propose using a Magma 16-slot PCI expansion server board.  My computer is an HP desktop, not a server, and has no iPass port(s).

Has anyone done this?  Can I use a iPass to PCI converter cable and use this expansion board?  I would plug in 4 Bitmining Cards from Butterfly Labs to the Magma Expansion board.

This is my idea! If you have ideas or a specific plan on building a working rig with comparable specs, please share.
