Hey,

Laptop
My budget for the new computer is: £1000 / $1606 (as of posting)

What are the primary uses for this computer (IE: mail, web browsing, programming, games, etc)? Web browsing, programming, mail, general day to day activities

What software do you intend on using on the computer?
Programming: Adobe CC, Notepad++, Eclipse, PHPStorm and Intellij
Browsing: Chrome
Others: Skype, Dropbox, Microsoft Office 365, putty, Spotify, other basic utilities

Do you play games? If so, what type of games? On this laptop, likely not. I'll still like capability for the basics though, nothing too intensive. I have a PS4 for gaming, this is mainly general stuff & work.

Do you tend to have a lot of programs running at the same time, or do you close every program when you are done using it? I usually have a lot of programs running at the same time as each other, but close once I'm completely finished using them.

Do you store a lot of pictures or music on the computer? Probably not pictures & music, I'll use Spotify

Will you be overclocking? Nope

Location for online shopping/shipment/prices? Don't mind too much, Amazon, official sites, pcworld preferred

How many monitors are you planning to use? Integrated display

Do you need peripherals? OS? Not really, I have some I will want already from my current computer. Windows 8.1, Windows 8 or Windows 7

Any particular reason why you are upgrading? Not really

So far I've considered
HP Envy 17
Acer Aspire S7 (unsure if a 13" screen will be too small though)

Any other ideas, insight or a laptop to narrow down to?
