Hi guys

My windows 7 is giving me a black screen "launch windows recovery" message when I try to start up. I thought this might be a data corruption/virus, so I did a format and reload, but the problem hasn't gone away.

The CPU/RAM/Motherboard is all about 4 years old, run through a UPS so surge/lightning damage isn't an issue.

When I tell it to start Windows normally, everything works just fine.

Anyone know what the problem might be or have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance (from an Ebola free South Africa  :bananas:  )

I suspect your HDD is starting to fail. I would run the HDD diagnostic for your model HDD and check it for errors.
