Hello starlight5 -

There should not be a problem installing Malwarebytes Anti-Malware on any Windows 8 system (first thing I did when I started my Windows 8 system).

Unless you have problems with installing other programs, please post it to the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware forum in the linked area

 >> Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Help << for program specific help.

Thank You -

It updated fine  scan is running

scan ran clean

No problems then,

It must have just been a download server glitch. That happens and it will throw a runtime error number till it clears.

Since that error number was not a Malwarebytes Anti-Malware related problem, we can only assume it was a temporary update problem from a server.

Please download Temp File Cleaner by Old Timer
Usage Instructions:
1 .Download TFC from the download link above and save the file on your desktop.
2 .Close ALL running applications as TFC will terminate them before attempting to clean up the temporary files.
3 .Double-click on the TFC icon.
4 .When the program opens, click on the Start button.  TFC will terminate the Explorer process and all running applications and then begin the process of cleaning out all of your temp folders.
5 .When done, press OK > Exit, and Reboot your computer and finish the Temp File cleanup
No log is produced or expected.

Regards -

Hi -

You seem to have no other problems bothering you, so Iwill take this off my "watch list".

If you have new problems, please start a new topic.

Thank You -
