Hello,

I have a dell computer that quit working after a storm. I ran diagnostics and got a 2000-0142 error from dell meaning hard drive problem. I put in a known working drive into the pc and now it says no internal hdd. The bios can see the hdd, but the pc will not boot to it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

The diagnostics code does reference to your drive failing DST, so the original drive is shot. This may be a dumb question, but did you format/reinstall windows to the new drive?
