My computer skills are just average at best. What I was wanting to know in task bar can I disable this

BtPreLoad.exe I googled this to my understanding this BtPreLoad.exe runs Bluetooth devices. I know nothing about this. The only thing I have hooked to laptop is a wireless mouse. It shows startup impact as high. Any ideas, or should I leave it alone ? Thanks, Chuck

Hi Chuck -

That seems to be a standard "pre-install" on several systems, including Acer and Dell units.

You are correct that it is a Bluetooth exe. and it is in my Device Manager area (with 3 sub headings). It exists on my Windows 8 Acer, and may just be "junk install" with your system that you have just activated.

Qualcomm Atheros Communications is the company that "control" the installing, but it seems to be M/soft supported.

For the sake of what it is, I have left mine alone, as you "may" want it one day -

Thanks -
