What I mean is instead of hooking it up to the modem can I hook it up to a computer and enable internet connection sharing.. then from there I can broadcast the internet or hook computers up to the ports on that? So using that computer/router as a repeater persay?

"Hooking wireless router directly up to computer?"

and

"instead of hooking it up to the modem can I hook it up to a computer and enable internet connection sharing"

If you are asking if you can

internet<>modem<>computer<>wireless router

The answer is yes you can.  You will be more at risk from internet hacks and your network will be slower going through the computer by yes you can do that.
