I have an MSI Z77A-G43 motherboard with 2 blue slots and 2 black ones

I have a 4GB kit (2 x 2GB) from hyperam and a 16GB kit (2 x 8GB) vengeance from Corsair

In order to have dual channel mode I'd like to know how I must populate them

I'd apreciate any advice on this

Thank you

Motherboards typically color-code the RAM slots which need to be paired.  See narrative below RAM slots at http://wccftech.com/review/msi-z77ag43-budget/ .

Sorry I'm still not too clear.

Should I be putting 1 8gb in a blue slot and a 4gb in the other blue one, then the same in the 2 black ones.

or

should I put the 2x8gb into each of the blue slots and 2x4gb into each of the black ones or vice versa?

You are making this more complicated than it is.

As long as you have matching size modules in the same color-coded slots...it will be OK :).
