When I enter into the security panel and firewall I have no access to firewall setting but the system has told me the security center not started or has been stopped.  Does anyone know how to fix this.

Hi,

What security software do you have installed and is it current? Have you run any scans?

Keep us posted

Hi I got it working

I got some instruction from ask.com.

The person got me to insert two different startup strings.

I rebooted the cpomputer.

I went to security center.

The security center asked if i wanted to start it

I then went to Windows Firewall and it worked.

Sorry I can find the instruction or the files I clicked on to insert the startup strings.

Will keep looking.

In the end it was quite simply to fix.
