I have been having problems with my browsers the past few weeks with this stupid site wonderfulsearches.info it is hooked into my comp. So i searched all the forums on how to get rid of it, on of the options was to go into admin tools and disable it there. From my ignorance i go in don't find it but i disable other things the main one was allow third party websites. Now i can't play sto or open DS3 tool or anything that has to open with a website! I've gone back to admin tools to reactivate it but it's gone, it is as if because i disabled it the computer deleted it. I did a restore for my comp 3 times but not a later time before the mistake. Thank you so much for your help!

Have I understood you properly, that you have dome 3 successful system restores that precede the date of the issue, and the issue still persists?

What exactly did you use in Administrative Tools to disable third party websites?

Hi

I am going to take a wild guess here  that you messed up settings under internet options, Browsing section.

Let's try this...

1. Click the Start orb, in the Search programs and files box type internet.

2. When the list populates find the section Control Panel (xx), find the entry Internet Options, right click on it and left click Open.

3. When the Internet Properties window opens note the entry listed in the Home page section of the General tab.

4. Click the Advanced tab. Click the Restore advanced settings button, Click the Reset button.

5. When the Reset Explorer Settings window opens, tick the box next to Delete personal settings and click the Reset button.

6. Click Close on the Reset Explorer Settings window with the green checkmarks.

7. Repeat steps 1 & 2.

8. On the General tab in the Home page section enter the address of the homepage you desire.

9. Click the Apply button at the bottom of the page. Click OK to close the window.

When you open Internet Explorer for the first time you may notice your Menu bar, Favorites bar, Command and Status bars missing.

Right click in the blank space at the top of your IE window and tick the choices you wish to restore.

Lots of luck and please keep BC posted!
