I have a lenovo x60 tablet laptop
I have 2gb on board ram

I have made a new partion that is around 6 GB. I turned it to extra ram for windows 7. It only shows i have 2 gb but The drive shows it full? I installed windows 7 pro my self. I created the partion my self. I went my computer and right clicked->properties->advanced settings on the side->advanced->settings->advanced->chang... and turned the 6gb to ram.

This is a very unusual set up. nevertheless, if you want your physical ram to be complemented by the 6 gigs in your D drive, you must change the C drive setting from System Managed to "no paging file".

That way, instead of ram being taken from the C drive when Windows needs more than the 2 gigs in your machine, it will instead go to your D drive where you have the allocated 6 gigs.

If better speed and power is what you're after, you could improve the performance from that allocated 6 gigs by selecting "Custom Size" and setting the initial size to 16 megs and the maximum size to 5.850, then reboot.

If you don't follow me, just say so and I can explain it a different way.

The game will play.(unless you're saying that the game requires 4 gigs of physical ram?)

It will take ram as it needs it, up to 6 gigs.

PS: What you are looking at is a report on the amount of physical ram.

That shows you the physical ram.

You could make a 20 gig pagefile and you'll still only see those 2 gigs of actual physical ram in your machine.

That doesn't mean you have a junk laptop, in fact I have one here, that I just put a new 500 gig hard drive into.

It also only has 2 gigs of ram and I have a lot of spare ram, but it runs well as is and I'm just fixing it up to sell and keeping costs down.

The previous owner had just changed the battery, so it's nearly new. The keyboard is perfect and it has that really kool keyboard light.

The only possible complain is no webcam.

Otherwise, it's a great machine, better than a lot of the bargain new machines.

If you happen to need 2 more gigs of ram, it'll cost you around $25, so it's not a big expense.

If you get $220 as is, you're doing OK.

Have you decided on which model of Toshiba you'll be buying?
