I am having a problem with the error "No Audio Output Device is installed" on a custom built computer running Windows 7 Home Premium x64. The specs are as follows:
Intel DQ965GFE motherboard
Intel Pentium Dual Core E2140
80GB Hard Drive
I've been getting "No Audio Output Device is installed" on and off on this computer. Sometimes it's miraculously starts working, but most of the time it doesn't work. It was working fine until a bit over a week ago. I didn't have to install any drivers when I installed Windows 7, Windows 7 already had all the drivers for all the hardware. I don't know if it's a faulty driver or a hardware problem. When the "No Audio Output Device is installed" appears, there are no audio devices listed in the Device Manager. Just to be clear I am using the onboard audio, not a sound card. Any ideas on how I can get the audio working again?
