internet explorer & chrome

having trouble using internet explorer  & google chrome. by this I mean they don't work. Keeps coming up proxy server not responding. I don't even know what this means, any help I can get would be great. thank you

The particular proxy that you are trying to go through is probably down.


Now if you didnt set up a proxy this could mean one of a couple things, one that your network admin has restricted things and you cant access those sites.




Your computer might have a virus, try the steps in the website here if that fixes it then you should be fine, there's a chance that an addon or program set the proxy to that.

If that only fixes it temporarily you may want to run a malware and virus scan and see what it comes up with.
