ESET online scan detected HTML/ScrInject.B.Gen virus and is still scanning will update on that.

Malwarebytes and adaware both detect nothing.

Ads by "gosave" pop up on chrome despite having Adblock extension, but internet exporer seems to work fine. (also has adblock)

My real concern is that nothing seems to detect this adware, which is highly unusual.

Additional details include that this started when a windows popup indicated malwarebytes antiexploit needed an update. after update chrome crashed and ads have been popping up ever since.

Thanks.

  • It may ask you to reboot the computer to complete the process. Click on Reboot Now.
  • If no reboot is require, click on Report. A log file should appear. Please copy and paste the contents of that file here.

  • .
    .
    .

ADW and JRT can't hurt while you're here.

If you disable or delete the extension and then close the browser and open it again ... does it come back.
