My curser automatically scrolls down a half page every minute or so. It does this if I am working on a word document, watching a dvd or surfing the net. It will do it in the middle of typing or when I am using the mouse. The mouse pointer will go down and to the left. What can I do to fix this?

Welcome to BC toddchip!!

What kind of mouse is it-optical or regular?

Do you have any sound nearby, either from the computer or other source?

If you can touch the desktop and feel vibrations, and it is the same surface that you use your mouse on, that is the cause of it. I know when I listen to music, with 5.1 speakers, my mouse goes all over the place. I even joke with my wife about it that the pointer is jamming to the music
