Cant download this, ( warning message ) missing file on computer, any ideas? I have just average computer skills. Sorry the screen shot picture isn't readable.

Exact words on warning.

This program cant start because ( SQLite3.dll ) is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program.

I tried reinstalling, doesn't work.

Zip File - Windows 8

Wise Disk Cleaner is a optimizer.  You can accomplish the same results by using the Disk Cleanup tool, remove temp files, and defrag the hdd.  Please note that I posted "hdd", you do not defrag a ssd.

Bleeping Computer DOES NOT recommend the use of registry cleaners/optimizers for several reasons:

Registry cleaners are extremely powerful applications that can damage the registry by using aggressive cleaning routines and cause your computer to become unbootable.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Not all registry cleaners are created equal. There are a number of them available but they do not all work entirely the same way. Each vendor uses different criteria as to what constitutes a "bad entry". One cleaner may find entries on your system that will not cause problems when removed, another may not find the same entries, and still another may want to remove entries required for a program to work.

Not all registry cleaners create a backup of the registry before making changes. If the changes prevent the system from booting up, then there is no backup available to restore it in order to regain functionality. A backup of the registry is essential BEFORE making any changes to the registry.

Improperly removing registry entries can hamper malware disinfection and make the removal process more difficult if your computer becomes infected. For example, removing malware related registry entries before the infection is properly identified can contribute to system instability and even make the malware undetectable to removal tools.

The usefulness of cleaning the registry is highly overrated and can be dangerous. In most cases, using a cleaner to remove obsolete, invalid, and erroneous entries does not affect system performance but it can result in unpredictable results.

Unless you have a particular problem that requires a registry edit to correct it, I would suggest you leave the registry alone. Using registry cleaning tools unnecessarily or incorrectly could lead to disastrous effects on your operating system such as preventing it from ever starting again. For routine use, the benefits to your computer are negligible while the potential risks are great.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

Good advice-this is solved - I stay out of registry - that's for experts - iam not even close to being one, but I do try to learn.

I watch them tutorials on computer things for hours on You Tube. Theres many people say registry cleaners are ok, but way more say there not. So I say there no good. ( don't use them at all ) thay will mess your computer up. I will just stick with my Windows 8 disc cleanup tool. Instead o the Wise Disc Cleanup Tool. Thanks Chuck

Nothing to add here, except that Dell support, when I tried to get help from them about unsuccessful attempts to upgrade from Win 8 to Win 8.1, did install a registry cleaner (and "all-round fixer" program) and wanted to run it on my system.  I declined and broke off the connection, and have not since had any dealings with Dell support.

Question arising, though: where does Lars Hederer's "NTREGOPT" program fit into this picture?  AFAIK that is a somewhat different critter from the well-populated field of "system optimizer" utilities?

When I got this Acer at WalMart 5 or 6 months ago I paid to get extra 2 year coverage $39.00 for what I don't know. I finally got hold of Acer because I had a sound problem. I checked on you tube I got the problem fixed, no help from Acer. I don't how computer companies are, But I think Acer has terrible customer service. Thay got a live chat, that,s a real joke.

It seems like anymore once you buy a computer, your on your own. Bleeping Computers forum has helped me get through many problems, Just explain to them your computer info and the problem and how much computer skills you have. In my case very little. Thanks, Chuck
