Hi, being just a average computer guy. Is there anyway to disable automatic downloading? I do want to keep automatic updates for Windows. I just don't want something downloaded that I didn't want. Like Conduit tried once. Thanks, Chuck

If you mean avoiding the default downloads which often include malware of some sort these days...best advice I can suggest is to NEVER allow the default install, always choose the "custome" install option.  That way you have a chance to see what's included in that download package you have so willingly agreed to..

You can change how Windows Updates are treated from Control Panel\System and Security\Windows Update\Change settings.  Only advance users who know what they are doing should turn off automatic updates.
