Okay, please keep it simple as I only have a moderate amount of experience and my specialty is software...

I'd like to find a PCI or PCIe card that allows for NFC. I've searched google but came up empty. You'd think they'd have made one seeing as how there's even a toast pci...poor power supply!

Anyone know where I can find one or at least get one built?

Thanks,

Daniel

EDIT: I don't want to use a USB. I want this to be a little more integrated with the system than a USB would be.

I would suppose the apparent shortage of such a thing in card form factor is probably because the Near Field available to a PCI/PCIe card is the usually inaccessible back panel of a desktop case. The practicality of wanting the NFC node accessible likely means insufficient demand for a card to justify a manufacturer producing one. (That's not to say there isn't one, of course... :) )

You're right but it would be a great backup system incase you forget your password. Just pull the computer out a little and swipe your hand against the back. Simple as that! It'd be a great feature. Do you know of anyone who might build custom PCI cards on order?

Thanks,

Daniel
