Desktop had been working prior to transporting. Had been using a MicroInnovatons wireless keyboard and mouse. Reconnected, now keyboard and mouse will not control. Starts-up o.k., CPU and Monitor and display appear normal. Have tried alternate hardwired components (known good-ones) using both the old round style plug as well as current usb type.

Do you have any keyboard functions prior to windows loading? (i.e. can you enter bios, use function keys for safemode entry, etc)
Because you posted no system specs, test with the PS2 keyboard and mouse (round 9 pin connectors).
If they are totaly dead, you'll next need to go inside the case.
