Every time I click on Google Chrome, it goes to "User Account Control" and says "Do you want the following program to make changes on your computer."

I click YES and then the web page never comes up.

How can I get Google Chrome working again.   I tried  uninstalling and reinstalling it and this does not do any good.

Try using Windows System Restore to simply roll back Windows to a point in time when your computer was functioning correctly. It allows you to undo system changes without affecting your personal files, such as e-mail, documents, or photos.

Internet Explorer does work properly.   It's only Google Chrome that won't work.

Please...we do NOT give advice for treating malware...in this forum, the Win 7 forum.  Malware is NOT an O/S issue.

Did you try to Change UAC Notification Settings, setting it one level lower?

I tried deleting and reinstalling Google Chrome and then installed Mozilla Firefox and this has not given me any problems.
