Having an issue with a user, were unable to map a network drive to his laptop. Funny thing the network drive were trying to map is not showing on his network. But he were still able to see other networks but not the one were looking for. But in my computer i am able to see every network. Then we tried to ping it from his laptop but didn't get a response back, but i am able to ping it from my PC.

fyi, he still able to access one server. but not the other.

Maybe the windows firewall is blocking that server. Have you checked that, when you disable the firewall?

What's the security software and could it be blocking access?
