Hey,

I have put this (http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/aGGLee/saved/#savedbuild_1443054) build together. This is my first build so I don't really know what is the best combination of parts. I want to keep the price as close to the current price (under £400.)

Any tips or changes would be greatly appreciated :)

The main use would be games. Mainly shooters, bit of minecraft, bit of GMOD

Looks pretty good really.  If you could stretch to an R7-260X (basically it's a faster clocked version of the HD7790) then that would be a worthwhile change IMO.  This one is not too much more money - http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/sapphire-video-card-1003662l

This shows the performance difference between the two - http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/AMD/R7_260X/26.html

I put together this build, brands and such could be changed, but it is right at your budget and would perform quite well on most games; http://pcpartpicker.com/p/bnrYf7
There is still room to shave off some cost as well.

Unfortunately a straight dollar to sterling conversion of US prices doesn't quite work.  We pay more for stuff over here!

Here's what you get if you use the UK prices (I changed the Sapphire card which was not for sale here to the cheapest R9-270 available as a substitute) but it's well over £400 - http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/cYFKnQ

Mail ordering from the US isn't really an answer either because imports are charged 20% VAT on the overall value, and shipping costs are sky high.

Whoops! I didn't even take that into consideration. I guess you have to do what you can with what you've got, but it might be hard upgrading that in the future, with an FM2 socket motherboard that only has 2 memory slots.
