I don't know if its my browser or my OS that needs tweaking to prevent what is turning out to be a daily occurrence actually about everytime I'm on line - I get

Redirecting...

INTERFERENCE from a web site that persists in trying to get me to VOTE for something about Obama -

possibly something called LEAN RIGHT

but it is seriously ticking me off and if I could get my fingers around the necks of those responsible my fingers might have to be pried loose.

Can anybody help me out where to start?

Right now I'm using Firefox - I have two computers one Apple Mountain Lion and one Windows 7

Hello. moved you to Am I infected forum from WIN 7.

In FireFox it may be the Add ons/Plugins. First look for something unknown and disable. Or
Try disabling them one at a time and see which one was at fault.

Thanks - I will work on your suggestions right away.

FOLLOW UP:  Okay - well in the process of checking my add-ons and extensions I discovered something that should fix the problem, I didn't figure out how and why I "got them" but on checking the page info it brought up a page that allowed me to block them - and hopefully it will work.

I think this must be thru my computer and not my browser but not sure.   Anyway, it gave me four tabs and one was whether or not to allow them to do popups and stuff and I don't know why it said okay but anyway I changed it and also blocked the rest of the stuff like cookies, etc.

So hopefully this will fix the problem.   I'll give it a while and see if this takes care of it.

I will keep your information / suggestions though for future use or if this doesn't work I'll go ahead and follow thru as you suggested.

Thanks again.
