My Intel SSD is the right size for my laptop but it came with a sata to sata  interface connector and a sata power adapter .  The instructions for setting it up say i need a USB to sata cable which plugs into USB port and the SSD .

Am i out of luck? It says you got to let the laptop recognize the SSD before you switch out the old hard drive ,  very confused .

Any ideas

OK, i see now , the box says it came with a desktop install kit even though it says for mobile and desktop PC's , thats just great.
