Object Already Exist Error

Anyone know how to fix this error I get this when trying to install programs such as Skype.

First of all - welcome to BC !


It can happen if the program has been installed and uninstalled before. Fragments can be left which fool the computer into saying it is already installed. You could try installing and running the Revo uninstaller, a free download. You can get it here -




It is very effective at removing traces of old programs. You may also find that once you have fully uninstalled a program that the structure - the various folders - is still there even if empty and everything is saying it has been uninstalled. If this happens, you can safely use Windows Explorer and just delete these folders, then try the re-install.
