Formatted Harddrive Incorrectly

I"m new to this I formatted my harddrive without putting the correct extensions, now I get nothing.what files do I need to include on a valid system disk to get it to boot and where do i get them from.

if u want to boot u'r hdd from dos, try "format c:/s" from a clean dos boot disk. it automatically takes care of the system files needed for booting.
