PLEASE READ EVERYTHING. I SERIOUSLY NEED SOME HELP.
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3
CPU: AMD FX-6300 Vishera 6-core 3.5GHz
PSU: 500W (don't know the model number)
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
Video Card: EVGA 01G-P4-2650-KR GeForce GTX 650
SSD: SAMSUNG 840 EVO MZ-7TE250BW 2.5" 250GB
So here's the story: I bought a new video card and SSD (listed above) and my PC started crashing on me. The game would slow down for a second or two then crash, audio clipping and all, but would never turn itself off. I had to manually shut off power every time it did this. I would open the case after it crashed and I could feel heat pouring off of the CPU. I actually moved my hand too close and seared it on some copper tubing. I decided the CPU must have been on its last legs, so I upgraded to the MOBO and CPU you see above. Everything was running fine but then all of the sudden it would freeze again. But this time it wasn't during games and the CPU wasn't insanely hot afterwards. When I went to turn it back on, the lights and fans would kick on, but it wouldn't even make it to the BIOS. No image to the screen, no lights on the keyboard or mouse coming on, nothing. Just those damn fans laughing at me. I took it in to some "pros" and they couldn't figure out what was wrong, so I RMA'd my mobo and got a new one and had them install it, just incase it had something to do with my installation. Got it back, booted it up, started fiddling around with some programs, and BOOM, freezes on the desktop with nothing but the control panel minimized on my taskbar. At this point I'm losing my mind so I decide to take it into different "pros" but this time they charge me $60 for a diagnosis (other place was free). They told me my CPU was "not powerful enough" to handle my video card and that I shouldn't go with GIGABYTE as they aren't meant for gaming. They said my video card was overpowering my CPU and causing it to overheat and proceeded to say they could install a cheapy CPU that would allow me to browse the web, check email, etc. but I couldn't play games with it. How does that make any sense? I didn't even have a game running when I got it back from the other repair place and it crashed anyway. I'm at a complete loss because they seemed liked they knew what they were talking about, but it doesn't make any sense at all. If anyone could please help I would much appreciate it. I've been without my PC for over 3 months now and I'm starting to lose my mind.
