Help!!!  I think there is a virus on my computer.  I just installed a new hard drive and I think something got through before the anti-virus program did!  This system should not be giving me the grief that is.  What  grief, you ask?
Sometimes I have a keyboard and then for some reason unknown to me, it pops out.  I really, really hate using the on screen keyboard.  The computer has also started locking up.  Never has done that before.  My mouse is jumping all over my screen and I keep clicking the wrong things.  Can you help???  Waiting patiently..
Melody

If you installed a new hdd, then you installed Windows 7 as well I'm assuming.

Did you install all of the drivers for this computer?

Chipset driver, audio and video drivers, etc.?

What is the make and model of this computer?

Yes, I downloaded the drivers for this system.  It's a Eee PC ASUS 1005hab.  I never told Windows to format or partition the new drive.  Please tell me that it was done by the manufacture because it's so big!!!!

I also keep losing my keyboard.  I restart the computer and it's back.  I also have the disk that came with the computer. Maybe something missed an update??

Go to the Asus website, select the operating system (Windows 7) and all of the drivers will be presented.  Unless there is a problem that requires updating the BIOS I would suggest leaving that alone.  Click on the driver/s category that you want and click on the driver you want to download.  This will automatically download the driver/s, you will need to install them from there.

I see that you have opened another topic in the Windows 7 forum.  You may benefit by answering my last post.  There is still a possibility that you have an infection.
