Posting a hi here before I read other posts and make any other posts. I don't have "formal training" - learned what I do know on the job, like when I came in to work 18 years ago to find a PC sitting on my desk (DOS of course) and was told to use it  . Or, the time I was an area supervisor over two offices and a new office opened and corporate said they would save their money and not fly out their installation specialist, I could install the network in the new office :flowers: . Yeah, I did it. Lots of other stories.

I have managed to keep every home computer I have had alive and kicking until they're so outdated the techs just laugh at me... without the help of a repair tech. Now, things are getting a bit more complicated with the constant "trash" - viruses, spyware, etc., that just seems to be neverending regardless of what you do and what programs you have. I feel like I am playing the child's game "Hippapotamus" where you take the gavel and hit the heads of the hippos that keep popping up.

Anyway, glad to know there's some smart people here :trumpet:.

Welcome to this great user community!
You can get help here, and most likely help others as well.
