Preventing Win8 backups to 2012R2 server

Is there a way to prevent Win 8 clients from being backed up to a 2012r2 server when they are joined to a domain?

Sounds like a great idea until you have 15 Win 8 clients, each creating an image of their 1 TB drive on the server.
