Track pad thinks I am holding it down

Sometimes when I click on a link and I move my mouse after clicking it it acts like I am holding down the button and moving the link around and when I read text it highlights it all even though I'm not holding it down please help it's annoying

The mouse is starting to fail. When you click on something the mouse is staying detented longer than it should, acting like you want to click-and-drag when you actually don't. Replacing or taking the mouse apart and cleaning it should fix it.

You may be able to turn up the sensitivity of the touchpad to resolve this.  This would be under the mouse settings in control panel.
