Each day, I find that my computer has rebooted and is at the logon screen. I have changed my Windows updates to Check for updates but let me choose to rule that out as the cause of the reboot. When I look in my application Event Viewer I see:
Faulting application name: svchost.exe_DcomLaunch, version: 6.1.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bc3c1
Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x00000000014d67b5
Faulting process id: 0x42c
Faulting application start time: 0x01cfbf6cfd576e42
Faulting application path: C:\Windows\system32\svchost.exe
Faulting module path: unknown
Report Id: 69aff776-2c56-11e4-a0ca-94de807aaa61
This is around the time that the PC rebooted. In the System Event Viewer it shows "The DCOM Server Process Launcher service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 60000 milliseconds: Reboot the machine." at the same time.
Recently, AVG AntiVirus Free has been reporitng some JS/FakeCodec errors. I ran a fresh scan yesterday and removed 6 of them. Malwarebytes returns no issues. Today, my PC rebooted again.
Not sure if I have a Virus or an application issue so posting here.
Please let me know what additional infomration I should provide and thank you for your assistance.
