Hello All,

Looks like a very helpful place and hopefully can help me out.  Normally a very careful person but today pulled a bonehead.  I'll post in virus section for details and possible help.  15 years virus free and I pull a bonehead move..... :smash:

Details:  I take care of the cumputers in our home and I am always harping about being aware and careful to uncheck any boxes that will install additional software.  Yesterday I wanted to clean up this system and needed to download the new MalwareBytes software to run.  I did exactly what I tell everyone else not to do.  I did not read each accpet/decline statement and I ended up loading some malicious programs.  My fault for assuming MalwareBytes software download would be free from any potential threats.  :nono:

I believe Gringo has me on the path to fixing everything.  This won't be happening again.   But I sure know where to come if I do have an issue.  This site is awesome!!!  Let me know if you would like further details.
