I have a 40gb iPod, and my son has a shuffle. On the hone computer, iTunes no longer recognizes the iPods at all. They do show up on MyComputer but not on iTunes.

When I try mine on my work computer, it shows up as someone elses iPod, and even prompts me to let it load these new songs into the library. I can plug speakers into the iPod and the songs are just as i installed on it, nothing out of the ordinary.

Do I have a virus on my iPod or iTunes ? Is there an error on my my systems ?

any way to fix it, or do I need to uninstall and reinstall iTunes ?
