THE POWER LIGHT COMES ON BUT GET NOTHING BUT BLACK SCREEN. IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO TO FIX THIS? Sorry but I don t know much about repairing tablets. I've done a little repairs on desktops and a little  on a lab top, mainly reinstalling windows. Would it work if I used external cd/dvd drive

to install windows 7 or repair windows 7 that way , tablet has no cd/dvd drive .I'am hoping someone can help me.

Hi dmorlino. The Acer laptop has an external VGA port you could try checking if a display would appear. Pressing the function key may extend the video output to verify if the chip is still working. http://www.umpcportal.com/products/Acer/Aspire%20One%20D255E/AOD255E-13444%20Black

Is there a function key to enable switch display options? Not familiar with the particular Acer though.
