All workstations in this story are capable hardware-wise, Windows 7 64-bit with patches current of the July cycle(Don't judge, QA has been brutal this month) So the organization I work in is seeing a strange problem that I just can't account for. We have narrowed the cause down to KB2975687 exclusively. Our entire organization's internal domain is explicitly in the intranet zone in IE, and we have a spattering of external sites in our trusted zone. The issue with the webapp is that it will not render properly. It isn't a Javascript issue, it really seems like it just decided not to properly render HTML for this specific page. Our on-call guy got the ticket and went through the logical steps(verifying settings hadn't mysteriously changed, group policy, etc.) On a whim, and out of ideas, I added the specific site for the app(again, already listed in the intranet zone) to the trusted zone and it the site worked properly. We matched the settings from the trusted zone to the intranet zone, no dice. We even tried knocking the security all the way down on the intranet site, nothing. To answer the obvious questions, yes, we are 100% sure the patch is the cause of this. The webapp works for those without the patch, doesn't work for those with the patch. No cert issues in play. This is just one of about 5 issues we are having with this patch in our environment, but it is the one that makes the least sense.

KB2975687 has been replaced by a newer update. IOW, to resolve the problem, try installing the latest updates.
