keyboard probs

just recently I have found that after turning on my comp I could not put in my password as most of the keys on the top row of the keyboard will not work, I have to restart my comp sometimes once but tonight ,twice before it worked again, any1 got any ideas plse

Wireless or wired keyboard? Have you tried plugging it into another USB port? Have you looked to see if there is anything physically blocking these keys?

I have similar problem with my usb keyboard , the five and six keys do not work on the top row , I have tried another KB but no joy ...tried updating driver but says its up to date ..any ideas please ,
