I Googled "Reboot Validator" but only spammy results came up and nothing explaining what it is or if it is safe or virus or anything. can I allow it? is this something I can safely install or should I skip it?

I would uninstall the Nero software...and try again.  Do you have a valid license fot the Nero program?  Has it ever been installed on your system?

Some additional info on the validator.

You don't need to download the Reboot Validator separately, it is always included in the installer.
Its only purpose is to check if a reboot is needed before proceeding with the installation.

I can only assume your install does not include the validator and Nero wants to download it from their site.

Allow nero to install the reboot validator.

Normally the installer contains the reboot validator as well as other prerequisites

Can you give us screenshot of error message

Also you can contact nero support directly at
