Today I tried pasting a link in a post.  It appeared to be pasted properly when I'm writing the post as see below...

When I hit the Post button the link and everything after it is gone as can be seen below...

What am I doing wrong?  ...or is something amiss with the site today?

Please note that this happened to me several times today.

I see you are using the editor to post. Trust me I am as ignorant as they come regarding the use of it. Have you tried using the 'link icon' to add the URL? It's in the bottom row 9th one from the left. It looks like a chain link. If that doesn't work. Use the editor toggle in the upper left corner. It looks like a light switch and turn off the editor and post your link like normal. Once you post you can turn it back on later.

Either one or both of those ways should work for you.

Thank you for your reply.

I was actually using the link icon when I had the issue.  I haven't had the need to post any links again but I'll try the editor toggle if it ever happens again.

BTW, what do you mean by "using the editor to post"?  I mostly use the reply box at the end of a thread but I sometimes click on the "More Reply Options" box if I need more control over my post.

When the icons are active the editor is turned on and used to create your reply post or original topic. If the toggle is used and the icons are grayed out, like mine are, the editor is turned off. Then you have to use BBCode to format your topics and replies. That's how I post. I have never used the editor to post.
