Removable drive into an alien computer

When you have a removable drive (personal) and use it on an alien computer. work, friends, whatever.  if you view files only  does the hosting computers hard drive save the contents of any file folder  .doc jpeg you open and view.  or print .

 no saving just view to share on screen. does it leave a image that can be found later?

No files, folders are saved AFAIK. :)
