my friends computer again

I have reformatted my friends computer and there is a slight problem when I click in any search box the box that contains the following comes up undo cut copy paste delete select all inspect element I cannot type anything into the search box while this box is open but I can get rid of it by clicking delete which closes the box and then I can type into the search box. I have tried doing a repair install but still have the same problem, can anyone help. Thanks.1-grin.gif

You have the r-click and l-click functions reversed.

No the box comes up on both left and right click, if they were reversed how would I change them?

Mouse Properties are located at, Control Panel/Mouse.

But my mouse is a generic ASUS one. Yours may be fancier and actually have a driver suite that would need to be loaded. If you do have a mouse driver control suite, you might try looking there.

 

P.S. And maybe just the mouse is broken.

No the mouse is ok but another problem has now emerged I cannot drag and drop anything on this windows7 computer.

Well, if you're positive it's not the mouse or the mouse properties setup, then it seems to me it's the MB.

A wifi mouse and keyboard can do some wacky things. Try pulling the wifi dongle from the usb port, wait a minute and plug it back in.

Tony007, For the drag and drop issue, hit the escape key. Also, couldn't hurt to check the batteries on the mouse. Doubtful it'll fix it, but you never know.
