Hello Everyone,

I have been a long time user of this site...it has helped me beat a few root kits and other nasty viruses.

I finally decided to join as I came across a strange process (browser.exe) running in the background hogging my user's memory and cpu.

There seems to be another member with a similar issue and I am hoping to add to the thread.

Happy virus hunting!

Hello and welcome.. That file..browser.exe is a T-Online Browser 6.0 belonging to T-Online Browser from Deutsche Telekom AG. If you are not in Germany I'd suspect infection.
How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook

You cannot post to others topics in that area.. But if you start your own you can.

Please follow this Preparation Guide, do steps 6,7 and 8 and post in a new topic.
Let me know if all went well.
