Hello friends, right now I am having a little problem with MBAM free version. When I am updating the virus database, the bar which shows the status of the ongoing download process remains blank. But the database gets updated successfully everytime. And even today morning,I was not getting the option of scan via MBAM which I used to get by right clicking on any file or folder.so I did a clean reinstall. This solved the last mentioned problem. But the problem regarding the update stays as it is.Please advise me what to do now?
My specs are-windows 7 service pack 1
intel core i3 second gen
2GB ram
avast! Free antivirus for real time protection.
Windows firewall.
Superantispyware free and MBAM free.
Thank you.

When you're having issues with Malwarebytes, one of the solutions generally suggested by the Help Desk to try first is to uninstall/reinstall as follows:

Hello Libyan expert:

quietman7's quoted link is the only official MBAM Clean Removal 2.x process and should always be followed when a re-install is called for.

I've sent you a PM.

Thank you.

All viruses are malware but not all malware are viruses and if the malware doesn't self replicate it just isn't a virus.

I ran mbamclean.exe and completely uninstalled mbam by rebooting.then I again reinstalled mbam.everything is ok except that database update bar. While updating the update progress bar stays blank, though it gets update successfully.

The progress bar should show Checking for updates when its downloading. If it's not doing that (but is updating properly), I'm not sure why. For any issues with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.0 the development team recommend you start a new topic in the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Help Forum and report them there.
